In the context of the implementation of the new European regulation, the CNIL supports companies to ensure their compliance, offering them legal security tools and working with European counterparts on clear and concrete guidelines. Since 25 May 2018, the citizens who are victims of a misuse of their personal data can directly lodge a complaint with the CNIL, referral authority regarding personal data protection.
